WALKATHON was organized on 14th February Valentine‘s Day 2019 at Elliott’s Beach, Besent Nagar, Chennai. Over 500 participants were present. The focus was “Safe, Smart and Stronger women, against sexual violence, and sexual rights for women”

“Break the silence around gender based violence”
The walk started at 7.00 am. It was very well covered by leading TV channels and the press. Dr. Sudha Tandon, sexual medicine Chairperson, Dr. K.S.JayarniKamaraj and Dr.T. Kamaraj gave press statements. The entire event drew good attention of the general people.

This was followed by
National Symposium on “Break the Silence around Gender Based Violence”at University Of Madrasfrom10.30 a.m. – 1.30 p.m. with more than 400 students attended the symposium.
